This includes responding to your enquiry, processing your booking, communicating with you about your wedding day, delivering your final film, and sending you relevant information about your booking. We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3a. Filming & Audio Recording at Your Wedding
When we film your wedding, we capture personal data in the form of images, video footage, and audio recordings of you, your partner, your guests, and any other individuals present. This includes but is not limited to faces, voices, conversations, and personal moments.
This data is collected on the basis of your consent as given through your booking form and our contract with you. However, we are not able to obtain individual consent from every guest or person who appears in your footage. By proceeding with your booking, you accept responsibility for informing your guests that professional videography will take place at your wedding and that footage may capture their likeness and voice. We recommend including a note about professional videography in your wedding invitations or on your wedding website.
We will handle all footage with care and will not share, distribute, or publish footage in which third parties are identifiable without appropriate consent, except where:
• It is included in your personal wedding film delivered to you under this contract
• You have given explicit marketing consent for us to share footage on our website or social media
• We are required to do so by law
Guests who believe their personal data has been captured and wish to exercise their UK GDPR rights should contact us directly at enquiries@thecamerachapweddings.com. We will handle all such requests sensitively and in accordance with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018.
4. Our Legal Basis for Processing

You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us in writing. Withdrawal of consent will not affect any sharing that has already taken place prior to your withdrawal.
6. Additional Use of Footage
Where you have provided separate optional consent on our booking form for the use of footage, audio, or stills in the development of professional editing tools and workflows, we will process such materials only in accordance with that consent and in a manner consistent with clause 3a of this policy. This includes the possibility that footage in which individuals are identifiable may be shared with carefully selected third-party technology partners under appropriate data processing agreements. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us in writing at enquiries@thecamerachapweddings.com. Withdrawal of consent will not affect any processing already carried out prior to your withdrawal.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil your booking and for a period of up to 6 years thereafter, in line with our legal and contractual obligations. Wedding films are retained for 12 months following delivery, after which they may be deleted from our systems.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your data with trusted service providers who assist us in running our business — such as payment processors, cloud storage providers, and booking management tools — where necessary and under appropriate data protection agreements.
